Soft robotic exosuits have been shown to be capable of improving post-stroke walking patterns and walking speed when they are worn and powered on. We believe that these immediate gait benefits can be leveraged during high-intensity gait rehabilitation to facilitate durable, long-standing therapeutic improvements in both the speed and quality of post-stroke walking. To this end, we are developing and evaluating a standardized Robotic Exosuit Augmented Locomotion (REAL) gait training program centered on our team\u2019s understanding of human-exosuit interaction and contemporary motor learning concepts.
