Between July 2018 and June 2024, the program provided essential training to over <strong>1.6 million participants<\/strong>, delivering <strong>37,153 hours of instruction<\/strong> across <strong>16,685 training sessions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accomplishments:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>93.5% of training\u00a0<\/strong>sessions were conducted via distance-based methods, including live and recorded webinars, podcasts, and self-paced learning.<\/li>\n<li>Focused on core competencies, the top skills addressed were\u00a0<strong>communication, community partnership,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>public health sciences\u00a0<\/strong>skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Participant Feedback:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>89% reported improved understanding<\/strong> of the subject matter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>89% felt the information was presented clearly.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>86% identified workplace<\/strong> actions they could apply based on what they learned.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Overall satisfaction with the training\u00a0<\/strong>remained high.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Student Field Placement Program:<\/h3>\n<p>The PHTC Network has released a new infographic showcasing the impact of its Field Placement Program, which supported 1,470 students in gaining hands-on experience in public health from July 2018 to July 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Outcomes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>73% of placements<\/strong> (1,072 students) were in medically underserved areas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>25% of placements<\/strong> (363 students) were in rural settings, and <strong>23%<\/strong> (332 students) were in primary care environments.<\/li>\n<li>A total of <strong>303,598 contact hours<\/strong> were logged by students, significantly contributing to public health workforce efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Success:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>95% of participants<\/strong> reported that the knowledge gained was relevant to their future careers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>94% of students<\/strong> developed a stronger interest in working with vulnerable populations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>95% achieved their learning objectives<\/strong>, with equal success reported by their preceptors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Field Placement Locations and Partners:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe map highlights student placements across the U.S., with the highest concentrations in states hosting over 40 placements. Field placements were diverse, with students working in academic institutions (32%), community-based organizations (21%), local health departments (19%), and other public health agencies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This program, funded by HRSA and HHS, demonstrates the PHTC Network&#8217;s commitment to preparing the next generation of public health leaders.
