\"\"<\/a>NEPHTC is pleased to announce that three of our self-paced trainings have been selected by the Public Health Learning Navigator, which peer reviews training for quality and relevance. Introduction to Ethics for CHWs<\/a>, Introduction to Interviewing for CHWs<\/a>, and Introduction to HIPAA for CHWs<\/a> each received the quality seal, bringing NEPHTC’s total number of courses with a quality seal to 17!\u00a0 “With this recognition, it really encourages us to continue to work hard with our experts to create rigorous yet straighforward trainings that are relevant and feel relatable to the participants,”
\nsays Karla Todd Barrett, Senior Program Manager who runs the daily operations of NEPTHC.\u00a0 “Our excellent team of instructional designers and experts across the country work hard to keep the training moving, and to move the participants to action.\u00a0 The instructional design for these three trainings was done by Charoma Ritter, a senior instructional designer in the Lifelong Learning Office.\u00a0 And I worked hard to help us find authenic community voices to represent interviewing for the social determinants of health.\u00a0 This wasn’t easy during COVID when everyone was flat out!”<\/p>\n

NEPHTC has long been committed to Community Health Workers, so the team is delighted that CHW trainings have been noticed.\u00a0 “We have some really great new trainings coming out this fall on Change Management, coaching parents on Childhood Nutrition, and Approaching Health Equity for Leaders at All Levels, so stay tuned!” says Todd Barrett.<\/p>\n
