Improve health.\" width=\"279\" height=\"122\" class=\"alignright\" \/>NEPHTC is excited to announce that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nephtc.org\/enrol\/index.php?id=167\">An Introduction to One Health<\/a> is being promoted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/training\/learning\/index.html\">CDC Learning Connection<\/a> for the month of June. <span>The CDC Learning Connection helps public health and healthcare professionals stay informed about quality trainings from CDC, other federal agencies, and federally funded partners. Each month, they feature trainings on this website and promote them via a newsletter, social media, and partner outreach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAs front-line healthcare providers, nurses have a unique opportunity to change the awareness and dialogue surrounding the connection between human, animal, and environmental health,\u201d said one nurse reviewer of the course. \u201cThis course adds evidence and information to their toolbox that broadens their understanding of this connection. This course introduces One Health (human-animal-environmental health) to the public health practitioner. Areas of focus include zoonotic and vectorborne diseases, pollution and ecosystem change, comparative medicine, and human-animal-environment interactions. Multiple examples are provided, including for COVID-19.
