The <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/nephtc\/our-impact\/\">Our Impact<\/a> Posts, have shown one of our flagship efforts at systems change through learning, describing what is now known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/nephtc\/2020\/09\/28\/nephtc-supports-the-vermont-resilience-messaging-project-vrmp-to-strengthen-vermont-communities\/\">Vermont Resilience Messaging Project<\/a>, an effort to build a more resilient Vermont.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in these posts, readers have been able to see the NEPHTC-supported <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/nephtc\/2019\/12\/27\/what-is-the-role-of-public-health-in-building-mental-health-nephtc-and-vermont-partners-set-path\/\">Needs Assessment focusing on mental health and resilience in Vermont<\/a> and what the workforce understood and needed.<\/p>\n<p>Readers have also seen the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/nephtc\/2020\/09\/03\/communications-skills-at-the-core-of-building-resiliency-in-vermont-communities\/\">crucial role of communications<\/a> in bringing widespread organizations together around the issue of resilience. \u00a0NEPHTC\u2019s effort and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caravanbrandpartners.com\/\">communications expert<\/a> created <a href=\"https:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/389ae632801\/c3b3cbf2-7853-4f68-a9a6-4ff62c8633c0.pdf\">tools<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/myemail.constantcontact.com\/What-s-Happening-With-Resilience-Across-Vermont.html?soid=1134465821059&amp;aid=KqYNyXjpK-o\">newsletters<\/a> to support the multi organizational and state wide resilience effort.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today, we are delighted to post a <a href=\"\/nephtc\/files\/2020\/11\/VRMP-FY20-OVERVIEW-Impact-one-pager1.pdf\">One Pager<\/a>\u00a0 about the project that is easy to share and includes some evaluation results of the project!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/nephtc\/files\/2020\/11\/VRMP-FY20-OVERVIEW-Impact-one-pager1.pdf\"><strong>One Pager for download<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluation Results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of November 2020, there are twenty core organizations involved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>77% of respondents are satisfied or very satisfied with the integrated messaging work to date<\/li>\n<li>77% believe the integrated messaging about the resiliency work in Vermont is extremely relevant to them and their organization<\/li>\n<li>78% said their understanding of the importance of a shared definition of resiliency has improved as a result of August 4 convening<\/li>\n<li>46% have already used the shared definition of resiliency in their work and\/or personal life<\/li>\n<li>96% intend to use the shared definition of resilience going forward<\/li>\n<li>96% have or will encourage others to adopt the shared definition of resilience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These high level evaluation results show a high level of satisfaction with the messaging and communications work to date, which is reported in the context of the pandemic time period.\u00a0 More impressive was the number of survey respondents indicating future use of the resilience messaging.<\/p>\n<p>While the evaluation report, as an interim report, is not available for download, NEPTHC is sharing the some remarks to give an indication of nature of feedback:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluator:<\/strong> Over half identified ways in which the messaging would improve coordination across workers in the resiliency field and\/or agencies doing resiliency work and the consistency of messaging from those workers and agencies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Respondents:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u201cI think departments were kind of doing their own thing.\u00a0 I think a coordinated message will really help to ensure we are all working toward the same goal and sending the same message to the people of Vermont.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u201c\u2026Integrated messaging should improve our collaboration and ability to move the needed across all VT communities.\u201d <\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>\u201cA collective definition and vision will support the internal and community-based work that is already happening in my district by aligning them toward a common purpose\/set of values.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluator:<\/strong> Several others described how the messaging will increase awareness and improve understanding of resiliency.\u00a0 For some, the increased awareness and understanding is thought to drive responsibility for and accountability of organizations to the community.
