73 members of the US House of Representatives signed Dear Colleague Letter supporting the Public Health Training Center line item in the federal budget. 11 of the Representatives were from New England! Like the New England Public Health Training Center, other PHTCs around the country create partnerships among universities, public health departments and community organizations to strengthen the current and future public health workforce.<\/p>\n

Creating more support and advocacy around the benefits of training centers and their mission to provide the public with equipped public health professionals to support communities at the local and state level is crucial. The dedication of congresspersons like these are important for continuing our mission.<\/p>\n
