She was a core competency trainer with the Center for Health Education for the Boston Public Health Commission and has facilitated CHW trainings with the Justice Resource Institute. She contributes upstream programming approaches for Health Begins and serves as a policy council member with the Massachusetts Public Health Association.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- ============================================================================================================ --><\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin: 2rem 0; border-top: 2px solid #5D85C2;\" \/>\n<h2>History and Needs Assessment<\/h2>\n<p>In 2016, NEPHTC conducted an\u00a0environmental scan\u00a0to\u00a0\u201chelp\u00a0[NEPTHC] better understand the evolving CHW workforce model in each [New England] state and\u00a0identify potential roles NEPTHC might play in the future development of the CHW\u00a0workforce.\u201c\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The scan, which can be accessed here,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/nephtc\/files\/2021\/10\/NEPHTC_CHW-Environmental-Scan_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NEPHTC_CHW Environmental Scan_2016<\/a>,\u00a0consisted\u00a0of reviewing\u00a0state and national\u00a0reports and resources and\u00a0conducting\u00a0a series of\u00a0group interviews\u00a0of CHW\u00a0supporters\u00a0by state.
