Students applying for NEPHTC Student stipend must have their project approved and confirmed by their university and field placement site prior to application.<\/em><\/p>\n

NEPHTC Student Stipend Program<\/h2>\n

The New England Public Health Training Center (NEPHTC) provides awards to 27 public health and health program students per year for field placements and faculty-student collaborative projects throughout New England. The award for graduate level students is $5,000 and the award for undergraduate level students is $3,500. <\/p>\n

The NEPHTC Student Stipend Program is designed to allow students to gain practical experience working on projects in public or nonprofit health agencies or organizations, including hospitals, community-based health care facilities, and non-traditional health settings. Projects serve medically vulnerable and\/or rural areas or populations in one of the six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.<\/p>\n

The program is funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration\u2019s (HRSA) New England Public Health Training Center, located at the Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH). <\/p>\n

NEPHTC\u2019s Student Stipend Program aims to strengthen the public health workforce through student field placements and faculty-student collaboratives, aligning with the Boston University School of Public Health\u2019s mission to improve the health of local populations. Applications will be weighed based on project suitability, agency characteristics, Health and Human Services (HHS) priorities, and regional representation across the New England states.<\/p>\n

All applications meeting minimum requirements will be considered, even if the project has already started.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
