Project Plan and Approach

Modules of My CV will be made available to the BU community in phases to facilitate the process of continuous improvement throughout the project.

Phase 1: Profile & Publications

The first phase of our implementation will be focused on using the Profile & Publications modules within My CV.

Pilot Program

The Profiles & Publication modules will be piloted by a select group of participants from the College of Arts & Sciences English Department and the College of Engineering. The pilots will allow the project team to identify system and process challenges prior to rolling out this software to the rest of the University. Pilot participants from each college will be asked to provide specific feedback after using the system.

  • The College of Engineering will be piloting in August 2016
  • The College of Arts & Sciences English department will be piloting in September 2016

Additional Rollout
Upon successful completion of our pilots, we will begin to roll out the Profiles & Publication modules of My CV to the remainder of the schools and colleges on the Charles River and Medical Campuses. Specific timing of the roll outs will be determined after pilots are complete.

Future Phases

Future phases will include the implementation of the following modules: Grants, Teaching Activities, Professional Activities and Assessment. As more information becomes available, we will share more specific timing estimates.

 

Governance and Project Team

This implementation project is overseen through sponsorship and partnership between Information Services & Technology and the Provost’s Office, along with guidance from the Faculty Systems Steering Committee.
