{"id":53,"date":"2018-03-16T16:54:59","date_gmt":"2018-03-16T20:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/mrl\/?page_id=53"},"modified":"2025-07-09T10:41:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T14:41:18","slug":"opportunities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/mrl\/opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Postdoctoral researchers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Material Robotics Lab at Boston University is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This position focuses on the development of cutting-edge technologies in surgical robotics and soft robotics, with a particular emphasis on interventional bronchoscopy and neurosurgical applications.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will lead hardware development and experimental testing, with a focus on integrating advanced onboard sensing and control strategies.Experience with medical imaging, closed-loop control, advanced path planning, and machine learning for robotics is preferable. They will contribute to in-vitro, ex-vivo, and in-vivo studies, and play a key role in translating this technology toward clinical applications.
