She is the author of two books,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/us\/universitypress\/subjects\/arts-theatre-culture\/western-art\/poetics-portraiture-italian-renaissance?format=HB&amp;isbn=9780521653244\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Poetics of Portraiture in the Renaissance<\/a>&nbsp;(Cambridge University Press, 2000) and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.psupress.org\/books\/titles\/978-0-271-03529-1.html?srsltid=AfmBOooIdnfZ8p6QDH2RA1i-ddz8jF8S80Sai8n5TG43NTtAUaoH42ZU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Muddied Mirror: Materiality and Facture in Titian\u2019s Later Paintings<\/a>&nbsp;(Penn State University Press, 2010); editor and contributor to Venetian Painting Matters, 1450-1750 (Brepols, 2014); and has contributed several articles to interdisciplinary Renaissance publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">With MISI, Jodi connected her expertise in 16th century Venetian art history \u2013 both the past portrayal of climate concerns and community-building \u2013 to today\u2019s climate crisis and explored alternative approaches to environmental care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>As an academic, there\u2019s this feeling that we can\u2019t affect any kind of change in the present moment \u2014 that our work is really about occupying this small little territory.
