He is the author (or editor) of five books and over 50 articles on participatory urban technology, including <a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/distributed\/U\/bo44893875.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Urban Spectator<\/em><\/a> (Dartmouth, 2010), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiley.com\/en-sg\/shop\/general-communication-media-studies\/net-locality-why-location-matters-in-a-networked-world-p-9781444340655\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Net Locality<\/em><\/a> (Blackwell, 2011), <a href=\"https:\/\/mitpress.mit.edu\/9780262334259\/civic-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Civic Media<\/em><\/a> (MIT Press, 2016), <a href=\"https:\/\/cmsw.mit.edu\/ludics-play-as-humanistic-inquiry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Ludics<\/em><\/a> (Palgrave, 2021), and <a href=\"https:\/\/global.oup.com\/academic\/product\/meaningful-inefficiencies-9780190870133?cc=us&amp;lang=en&amp;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Meaningful Inefficiencies<\/em><\/a> (Oxford, 2020). In addition to his scholarship, he has led dozens of collaborative design projects all over the world that bring the public and civic sectors together to foster democratic process with technology. His forthcoming book <a href=\"https:\/\/mitpress.mit.edu\/9780262055925\/how-institutions-listen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>How Institutions Listen: Civic Data, AI, and the Path To Public Trust<\/em><\/a> will be published by MIT Press in 2026.
