It has been over 5 years since Millie left us in Feb. 2017 and Gene also left us in Sept. 2021. As we acknowledge, they have been living in our heart as our role models and continue bringing all of us together. Taking the opportunity that Saito Sensai, a close friend and a long-time collaborator of Millie and Gene, is going to visit Boston before his retirement in the spring 2023, we would like to organize a one-day workshop at MIT in honor of Prof. Millie and Gene Dresselhaus and celebrating the retirement of Saito Sensai. We hope this workshop serves as a platform for us to discuss the frontier of nanoscience and nanotechnologies, and acknowledge the contributions and legacy of Millie and Gene for the future of science.
