This work, performed in the MET Decision Sciences Research Lab (DSLab) over the past several years, was motivated by a SCM capstone project done for the MBTA that concerned the management of parts inventories used to repair MBTA facilities (buses, trains, tracks, platforms, etc.). The work has previously been the subject of several conference presentations by DSLab researchers at DSI and INFORMS annual meetings.
