Initiative that aims to harmonize analytic approaches across longitudinal studies of dementia risk or cognitive decline.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key MELODEM events<\/h4>

\nMELODEM hosts two types of events:<\/span><\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Working Group seminars:<\/a> 55-minute seminars, via zoom, on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of most months, open to all. Invited speakers present on methodologic challenges in dementia research, as demonstrated in completed research or works in progress, and\/or on potentially useful concepts or methods in a more pedagogical framework. These moderated seminars invite lively discussion from participants.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Annual in-person Conference:<\/a> 4- to 5-day meetings, during the spring or summer, at a location in the U.S. or France, by application. Our next Annual Conference will take place in the summer of 2025. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How is MELODEM supported?<\/h4>

    \nCurrently, MELODEM receives generous support from the Lister Hill Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a grant from the NIH\/NIA(R13AG064971), and the Boston University School of Public Health Department of Epidemiology. <\/span>MELODEM was launched in 2012, under the coordination of Carole Dufouil (INSERM, University of Bordeaux, France) and Maria Glymour (Boston University, USA) with the support of the Foundation Plan Alzheimer. <\/span>MELODEM has had many other supporters, including INSERM and University of Bordeaux.<\/span><\/p>\n
