Dietary Assessment Service
The Diet Quality and Healthy Aging Lab have established a dietary assessment service to include administration, collection, and analysis of 24-hour recalls, dietary food records, and diet screeners. The lab holds a license for the Nutrition Data System for Research (NDSR) developed by the Nutrition Coordinating Center, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN (NDSR Software – Nutrition Coordinating Center (NCC). Currently, with her colleague Dr. Cheryl Gilhooly, we are collaborating with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine to validate several short dietary screeners against food record data. We are available to advise on methodology to collect dietary data, provide standardized, quality-controlled data collection, and offer high quality data management and delivery of dietary data. Please reach out to Dr. Nicola McKeown if you are interested in learning more about their dietary assessment capabilities.
