Transition News and Updates from LPHI
Over the course of this year, the Local Public Health Institute will be undergoing significant changes described below. We are here to guide you through the transition.
LPHI Moves to TRAIN Massachusetts
As of April 1st, 2024, LPHI is being integrated into the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s new learning management system, TRAIN Massachusetts.
LPHI Course Offerings Available on TRAIN
In tandem with our integration, nearly all LPHI training courses will be available on TRAIN Massachusetts, which will be managed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Office of Local and Regional Health (OLRH). Stay tuned for more information on how to access courses on TRAIN Massachusetts.
Boston University LPHI Website will Sunset April 1, 2024
Please take note that the BU-LPHI website will no longer be accessible as of April 1, 2024. All future access to course materials and resources will be exclusively through TRAIN Massachusetts.
Important: Secure Your Transcripts
While we are dedicated to making this transition as smooth as possible, we highly recommend that you download and save all your LPHI transcripts for any future reference. This proactive step will ensure that your professional achievements remain easily accessible to you.
Foundations Course: Start Now for Timely Completion
If you have already started or wish to enroll in the Foundations course through LPHI, we encourage you to get started promptly and create a plan to finish the course by March 31, 2024. This comprehensive course typically requires 36 hours of study and must be completed within a six-month time frame. By beginning now, you’ll be on track to finish with ample time and gain the essential knowledge and skills necessary for your public health journey.
If you have not yet started the Foundations course through LPHI and would like to take the course through TRAIN Massachusetts, it will be available for enrollment beginning in January 2024.
We are committed to ensuring that this transition brings new and improved opportunities for all our learners. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to serving you within the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s educational ecosystem.
