While that&#8217;s happening, you&#8217;ll immerse yourself in this MarCom Team Site \u2014 absorbing all the details about <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/marcom-team\/boston-university\/\">Boston University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/marcom-team\/marcom-documentation\/\">External Affairs<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/marcom-team\/\">Creative Services<\/a>, and finally our <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/marcom-team\/departments\/interactive-design\/\">Interactive Design sections<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>WordPress &amp; BU Network Introduction<\/strong> [~3 hours]<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re new to WordPress, you&#8217;ll receive a brief walkthrough on logging into your training site and working through the tutorial. Even if you&#8217;re <em>familiar<\/em> with WordPress, this walkthrough\u00a0will help you understand BU-specific design patterns.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Web Dev Sandboxes &amp; Dev Environment<\/strong> [~30 min. \u2013 1 hour]<br \/>\nUnsure about sandboxes or deploys? This session will cover those topics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Development Setup <\/strong>[&gt; 1 hour]<br \/>\nInstall your Code Editor and GitHub GUI app [Tower].<\/li>\n<li><strong>Git Tutorial<\/strong> [~2 \u2013 3 hours]<br \/>\nLearn how to push, pull, create pull requests, and merge. Learn terminal basics and installation with assistance as needed. You\u2019ll only need to remember a few key commands in the terminal.
