Marketing Shoots
Initial discussion/intake 3-5 months prior to goal photo shoot dates
- At 3-5 months – Evaluate photo needs, develop suggested plan/schedule, budget
- Develop photo direction, tone, specific needs based on project
- Create suggested schedule based on needs (e.g., class schedules, events, availability of locations, etc.)
- Create initial estimate
- Initial photographer research
- At 2 months – Confirm with client, subjects
- Approval of schedule, shoot dates, and necessary participants (e.g., faculty, staff)
- Create and have client sign off on statement of work
- Secure any permissions (location)
- Outreach to photographers for availability
- Approval of schedule, shoot dates, and necessary participants (e.g., faculty, staff)
- At 1 month – Final scheduling, photographer confirmation, outreach for photography extras, if applicable
- At 2 weeks – all details finalized, participants fully notified
- Day of
- Maintain schedule
- Direct photoshoot to meet goals and needs
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise
- 1-2 weeks following shoot date
- Proofs provided
- 2-3 weeks following shoot date
- Initial selections provided for approval
- 1 month following shoot date
- Photos approved, ordered from photographer
- 2 months following shoot date
- Final photos delivered
