He is involved in many international group efforts to understand the how genes cause diabetes, heart disease, addiction, obesity, macular degeneration, psoriasis,\u00a0and\u00a0numerous other diseases. In 2015, he launched Genes for Good, an online genetics study that collects self-reported measures via a Facebook app. He and his team are excited to collaborate with the Mahalingaiah lab by collecting women\u2019s health outcomes in their primarily-female cohort<span class=\"gmail_default\"> and contributing to analyses on polycystic ovary syndrome and related traits<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/mahalingaiahlab\/files\/2018\/12\/KGray_5-2017-424x636.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"229\" class=\"wp-image-800 alignleft\" \/><\/strong>Kathryn Gray, M.D., Ph.D. As a physician-scientist with fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine and clinical genetics, Dr. Gray is interested in using multi-omic approaches to understand the pathophysiology of adverse obstetric outcomes, in particular preeclampsia and postpartum hemorrhage.
