Haneen Ahmed completes summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
Haneen Ahmed, an undergraduate student from Georgia Institute of Technology, joined the Lubner Group for the summer through the BU Materials Science REU program. Her project focused on utilizing a Hot Disk Instrument to study thermal properties of critical adsorbents for the direct air capture of carbon dioxide. Throughout the summer, Haneen fabricated sample holders and environmental chambers for measurements of powders and liquids in gaseous environments. In addition, she utilized these items to take critical thermal property measurements on a variety of materials.
