The LIBRE\u00a0Project\u00a0aims to improve the lives of burn survivors by looking beyond physical recovery to target the everyday difficulties of returning to life in the following areas:<\/p>\n

    By creating\u00a0the LIBRE Profile,a questionnaire that looks at the social recovery of burn survivors, we hope to provide a comprehensive burn recovery evaluation that both empowers burn survivors to better understand their own recovery process and improves overall rehabilitation efforts.<\/p>\n

    The LIBRE\u00a0Profile
    \n<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Once completed, the LIBRE Profile will be used by burn survivors and their clinicians to track burn recovery.\u00a0 The LIBRE Profile is unique in that it\u00a0is tailored to the individual and focused on burn injury and its social impact.<\/p>\n

    Tailored to the Individual <\/i><\/h4>\n

    Using an innovative test format, the computer adaptive test (CAT), LIBRE Profile tailors the questions it asks to the individual. A burn survivor will receive an accurate assessment of how they are recovering after answering only a handful of questions instead of answering a long list of questions that may not apply to them.<\/p>\n

    Burn Specific<\/i><\/h4>\n

    By using feedback from burn survivors, family members, and clinicians, LIBRE asks questions that are specific to burn injuries and to the recovery process of burn survivors.<\/p>\n

    Social Impact of Burn Injury<\/i><\/h4>\n

    Recovering from a burn injury can be a lifelong process that affects every aspect of life. LIBRE Profile takes a comprehensive look at burn recovery by assessing how burn injury affects a person\u2019s life in terms of work, family, friends, social activities, and community.<\/p>\n
