Alpha Chapter
Since 1909
Recruitment
Our chapter depends on new members to uphold the values of our fraternity and to continue our mission. Lambda Chi Alpha was the first fraternity to abolish pledgeship and replace it with Associate Membership for all new members; this grants new members, or associate members, full rights of membership. Our focus is on instilling equality amongst all members of our fraternity and not on the degradation of one another. We recruit men that we believe seek personal growth and exemplify our seven core values: loyalty, duty, respect, service & stewardship, honor, integrity, personal courage. We hold recruitment year-round, please contact us for information on recruitment. View details »
Philanthropy
We are very involved with philanthropy — locally and nationally. Whether we are doing community and service around the city of Boston or raising money for various charitable organizations at our own events, we strive to improve the world around us. View details »
Campus Involvement
Aside from their involvement within the fraternity, our brothers have taken leadership roles both within and outside Boston University. This includes club involvement, on-campus resident assistance, student advising and student government. View details »
Who Are We?
We strongly believe that every member of our fraternity has something to contribute to society in their own way. “Vir Quisque Vir”, translated “Every Man A Man,” embodies this very ideal. It is our duty to help one another grow in a way that benefits ourselves and the world around us.
A lifetime of TRUE Brotherhood
Through Lambda Chi Alpha, brothers and associate members are able to create lasting relationships for years to come. Through involvement within the fraternity we learn to grow and develop as men. Our bond of brotherhood is one of the strongest bonds that men share.
We’re Lambda Chis. What Will You Be?
Lambda Chi Alpha is one of the largest international fraternities, with over 280,000 initiated members and approximately 200 active chapters. The fraternity is a great way to make your time at college an even better one as it provides opportunities for immense self-growth and involvement on campus. Beyond college, the fraternity aids vastly in career development through networking and the life lessons our fraternity provides.
Our bond does not last for just four years, it lasts a lifetime.
