We are particularly interested in candidates with training in either of these areas.<\/span><\/p>\n PhD students<\/span>\u00a0contribute to research to investigate mechanisms underlying osteoarthritis and development of innovative rehabilitation interventions.\u00a0<\/span>The students will enroll in the\u00a0<\/span>PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences<\/a>program at BU Sargent College. This position is fully funded and includes a stipend as well as tuition and fees. The PhD program offers outstanding opportunities for motivated candidates to build an inter-disciplinary skill set that will position them to embark upon a successful research career.\u00a0 Please review the program’s admission requirements<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to the requirements described above, additional strongly preferred qualifications<\/strong>\u00a0for these positions include: <\/span><\/p>\n Application deadlines for Fall admissions are usually due on December 1.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n BU DPT students interested in\u00a0contributing to clinical research in our lab are always welcome.\u00a0If you are a BU DPT student interested in working with us, you will need to maintain a cumulative professional GPA\u00a0<\/span>\u2265 3.2, be available for at least 10 hours\/week\u00a0<\/span>pe<\/span>r semester, and intend to continue throughout your DPT program. You will be required to volunteer in the lab for the 1st semester.<\/span>\u00a0After the 1st semester, we try to fund students for their work from federal work-study (if available) or grant\/internal funding.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We often hire undergraduate students who wish to gain research experience. Usually, these students want to go on to graduate school (MS, MD, PhD, etc.). If you are a BU undergraduate interested in working with us, you will need to maintain a cumulative GPA \u2265 3.4, be available for at least 10 hours\/week per semester, and intend to continue for at least 4-semesters. You will be required to volunteer in the lab for the 1st semester. After the 1st semester, we try to fund students via the BU UROP<\/a>, federal work-study (if available) or grant\/internal funding, including full-time work over the summer.<\/span>\u00a0It is also possible to do research for course credits.
