Dr. Kumar awarded 5-year K01 grant from NIH
Dr. Kumar has received a 5-year K01 grant from the National Institutes of Health - National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS).
MAI Lab Hosts Upward Bound Students
We hosted students in the Upward Bound Program at Boston University as part of their summer Anatomy curriculum. Students took part in live demonstrations of strength testing, electromyography (EMG), and motion capture.
Lab received funding for mHealth research
Dr. Kumar was awarded funding from the new BU Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Sciences & Engineering and the new Digital Health Initiative for development of mobile health solutions for people with knee osteoarthritis!
UROP funding awarded to two researchers!

Dr. Kumar awarded funding from BU CTSI
Dr. Kumar has received pilot funding from the BU Clinical & Transnational Science Institute. The CTSI provides pilot funding for innovative translational research and the development of innovative translational research methods at BU. This encompasses the continuum from the development of new therapies and diagnostic tests to studies of the population health impact of health interventions.
