Translational Research on Breast Cancer and Inequities in Treatment<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Ko Lab is dedicated to bridging the gap between cutting-edge cancer research and the delivery of effective treatments to underserved populations. We focus on translational breast cancer research at the intersection of oncology, service to marginalized communities, and academic inquiry.<\/span><\/p>\n

By investigating the interplay between tumor biology, socioeconomic factors, and communication practices, the lab aims to elucidate how these elements affect breast cancer, understand the barriers preventing the application of evidence-based cancer treatments to these underserved populations, and work towards more equitable healthcare outcomes for future patients.<\/p>\n
