Data Requests
Overview
The Ko Lab is dedicated to advancing breast cancer research by responsibly sharing data and biological samples. Our resources are available to qualified researchers for legitimate scientific inquiries, ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld throughout the process.
How to Request Data and Samples
Researchers interested in accessing Ko Lab resources should submit a Data Request Form. Please keep in mind that the following may be required:
- Concept Proposal: This should outline your research objectives, methodologies, and the specific data or specimens you need.
- Review Process: Proposals will be evaluated by the Ko Lab to assess their feasibility and originality. If biological samples are requested, we will consider the significance and quality of your proposed research against the availability of our limited resources.
- IRB Approval: New collaborators must obtain Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval from their own institutions prior to proceeding.
- Legal Agreements: If your request is approved, we will need to sign a Data Use Agreement (DUA) and a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA), unless an agreement is already in place. The use of data and samples will be restricted to the research described in your proposal.
