As an undergraduate, he became interested in biomedical research and later completed doctoral training in the Immunobiology Department at Yale University. Dennis was a postdoctoral fellow in the Radiation Oncology Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)\/Harvard Medical School. In his free time, Dennis enjoys traveling, reading and sports.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/joneslab\/files\/2025\/10\/saPicture1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"197\" height=\"264\" class=\"wp-image-458 alignleft\" \/><\/p>\n<div><strong>Samir Jana, PhD<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Research Scientist<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Samir is from Kolkata, India. He completed his postgraduate studies in Molecular biology and biotechnology from University of Kalyani, India. He pursued PhD from University of Calcutta and worked on the thesis topic regulation of miRNA in breast cancer growth and metastasis. Samir came to the USA to further for postdoctoral research at City of Hope, California and worked on ER stress\/autophagy pathway and chemo sensitization of breast cancer. ASSOCIATE<\/summary>\n<p>The Jones Laboratory at the Boston University School of Medicine is currently seeking postdoctoral applicants for exciting projects investigating tissue-specific mechanisms of tumor-induced immunosuppression.<\/p>\n<p>The primary responsibilities of the postdoctoral associate are to independently design and execute research experiments to study mechanisms of immune escape and suppression in the\u00a0metastatic tumor microenvironment, including characterization and targeting of immune suppressive cell types and pathways.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates with a strong research track record, background in immunology and cancer biology, as well as experience with animal models are preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Required Skills<\/p>\n<p>Individuals must have a Ph.D. and\/or M.D., appropriate research experience, strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills and be prepared to work as part of a team.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates with a strong research track record, background in immunology and cancer biology, as well as experience with animal models are preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Experience in the following technical areas is preferred: molecular biology, immunological
