As an undergraduate, he became interested in biomedical research and later completed doctoral training in the Immunobiology Department at Yale University. Dennis was a postdoctoral fellow in the Radiation Oncology Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)\/Harvard Medical School.
