it is a sign of challenge and growth<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s ok to make mistakes, so long as we are dedicated to becoming better<\/li>\n<li>This room is a space for respectful dissent<\/li>\n<li>The goal is not to agree &#8211; it is to gain a deeper understanding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Classroom norms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Listen actively &#8211; respect others when they are talking.<\/li>\n<li>Speak from your own experience instead of generalizing (\u201cI\u201d instead of \u201cthey,\u201d \u201cwe,\u201d and \u201cyou\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Participate to the fullest of your ability &#8211;
