Katie Quigley Mellor is an educator and innovator who believes that social entrepreneurship provides students the freedom to utilize their passions and skills across disciplines to create lasting and meaningful change for the greater community.

Katie comes to BU from the nonprofit sector where she has extensive experience in developing and implementing impact driven programs for learners of all ages. Most recently, she served as the founding Program Director for TiE Boston Foundation’s TiE Young Entrepreneurs Program, a 9-month entrepreneurship accelerator program for high school students, where she built a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and industry experts dedicated to fostering the next generation of change-makers.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys supporting community organizations in Boston by designing and facilitating various workshops around community engagement, ideation, public speaking and storytelling. Before joining the nonprofit sector, Katie graduated with a BA in Musical Theatre from the State University of New York and had the honor of performing in a variety of theatrical productions around the world including in the United States, Taiwan, China, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar and Romania.
