While there are many exciting free opportunities to learn about science in Boston, it always requires to be in-the-know.<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">We hope that this project fills in the gaps, and makes science more open, accessible, and approachable.<\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/ia\/files\/2024\/10\/img_2177_720-e1730323870785-636x345.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"345\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-52 aligncenter\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/ia\/files\/2024\/10\/img_2177_720-e1730323870785-636x345.jpg 636w, https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/ia\/files\/2024\/10\/img_2177_720-e1730323870785.jpg 719w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><em>Origins<\/em><\/div>\n<div data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">In May 2022, Astronomer Dr. Lucianne Walkowicz gave a seminar at Boston University and introduced this initiative (which was written about in the Time,<span>\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"https:\/\/science.time.com\/2013\/10\/28\/ride-the-science-train-aka-the-new-york-subway\/\" id=\"LPlnk336524\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/science.time.com\/2013\/10\/28\/ride-the-science-train-aka-the-new-york-subway\/\" data-linkindex=\"0\">here<\/a>).
