King’s Chapel Burying Ground, founded in 1630, is the oldest cemetery in Boston, predating its adjacent King’s Chapel. Among the many historical figures buried here, John Winthrop, the first governor of Massachusetts, and Mary Chilton, the first woman believed to step off the Mayflower, are two of the most influential.
