Join us on Tuesday, July 28th, for an online hackathon!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you passionate about using data to tackle real-world challenges related to equity and social justice? Interested in exploring how public health evidence can drive real change? This one-day, online hackathon brings together students and future public health leaders to answer important public health questions using real data and to think through how that evidence can inform policy, advocacy, and action.<\/p>\n

Working in teams with supportive mentoring from experienced epidemiologists and health researchers, participants will explore the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) data to describe patterns and inequities in youth health. You’ll focus on descriptive questions, with the option to take on more analytic challenges. No prior coding or statistics coursework is required<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Whether or not you’ve ever written a line of code, this hackathon is a chance to build your data and research skills, work in dynamic teams, gain hands-on experience, and present your findings, while connecting with mentors and professionals committed to health equity.<\/p>\n
