Join us on February 28th for an online hackathon!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you passionate about using data to tackle real-world challenges related to equity and social justice? Interested in exploring ways to improve access to and transparency of public health data in the United States? <\/span>This one-day, online hackathon event brings together students and public health professionals to answer important public health questions by applying quantitative research methods.<\/p>\n

To explore these questions, teams will analyze data related to important societal topics.<\/span> With supportive mentoring from experienced epidemiologists and health researchers, participants will write statistical code in R to evaluate determinants and inequities in important health outcomes.<\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re studying computer science, economics, public health, health sciences, or any other field, this hackathon will provide an opportunity to develop your quantitative research skills, work in dynamic teams, gain hands-on experience, and present your findings. Plus, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to network with mentors and professionals committed to driving change in health and healthcare.<\/p>\n

Who<\/strong>: Any undergraduate or graduate student who has taken at least one introductory statistics course and\/or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Python, SQL) coding course<\/p>\n
