The Lab convenes diverse partners \u2013 from local communities to global networks \u2013 to share insights, co-create solutions, and seed fund projects that combine academic research, grassroots expertise, and policy innovation for measurable impact in cities.<\/p>\n<p>GUDL is, at its core, community-engaged not only in Boston but also in cities across the U.S. and globally.<\/p>\n<h2>GUDL Goals<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>To create bridges between local communities, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and community organizers\/activists that directly address existing research or translational gaps, thereby leveraging academic and non-academic research for policy and practice more effectively.<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate collaborative partnerships among local communities, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and community organizers\/activists who wish to enhance existing or develop new research projects in co-learning teams.<\/li>\n<li>To serve as a platform for exchanging impactful evidence, successful policies, best practices, and catalyzing further opportunities for anti-displacement policy, practice, and activism.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Gentrification and Urban Displacement Lab (GUDL) at Boston University\u2019s Initiative on Cities brings together researchers, policy-makers, practitioners, and advocates committed to understanding and addressing the forces of gentrification and displacement.
