Call for Student Posters for the BU Geospatial Tech & Data Symposium

Who should submit a poster?

We welcome posters from any Boston University student (undergraduate, graduate, across all schools and colleges) who is using geospatial data and technologies (ArcGIS, QGIS, R GIS packages, Python, PowerBI Maps, etc) in their research to submit a poster for presentation.

Poster Contest

Each participant will receive a BU swag bag and the winner of the poster contest will be awarded a $200 prize!

Poster Presentation

Students selected to present their research posters at the Symposium will be notified by Monday, April 13, 2026. Posters will be printed by the conference organizers and transported to the venue free of charge.

The Student Poster session will be held during the BU Geospatial Tech & Data Symposium, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 12pm to 4pm ET at 43 Hawes Street, Brookline. If your poster is selected for presentation at the symposium, you must be able to attend the poster session in person.

Submission process

• Submission deadline is Monday, April 6 at 3pm.
• Posters presented at other conferences are encouraged!
• Posters must be 48 inches wide by 36 inches tall (horizontal or vertical). See complete poster guidelines here.
• Posters must be formatted as a PDF when submitted.
