The Global Health Systems R.I.S.E<\/strong> lab applies quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct R<\/u><\/strong>esearch on I<\/u><\/strong>nsurance, S<\/u><\/strong>ocial Determinants of Health, and Complex Humanitarian E<\/u><\/strong>mergencies through rigorous evaluation and synthesis of innovative data across different healthcare systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

We focus on marginalized and at-risk communities\/populations including \u2013 Immigrants; Informal Sector Workers; Internally Displaced Persons (IDP); Persons Living With HIV\/AIDS [PLWHA]; Persons with Mental Health Challenges; Pregnant Women; Mothers and their Newborn Children; & Refugees. This focus is informed by the need to improve population health by using healthcare systems to bridge different communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve its aim, the Global Health Systems R.I.S.E<\/strong> lab primarily conducts research in the following three [3] areas:<\/span><\/p>\n
