This is more so the case because healthcare systems mediate the relationship between unmet social needs and associated health outcomes. The Global Health Systems <\/span><b>R.I.S.E<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lab <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">while employing health systems frameworks and principles is interested in understanding and documenting how healthcare systems as an SDH impact health outcomes while accounting for population demographics and geographic location<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projects:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spaciotemporal access to healthcare for pregnant women<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technical Efficiency and Spatial Interdependence in Health Service Production<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Informality and healthcare access and utilization in low-and-middle income countries (LIMC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disparities in access to Psychiatric Care in the Boston Emergency Services Team (BEST)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Social Determinants of Health &#8211; \u201cthe conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life\u201d has been shown to account for a great deal of the variation in health outcomes.
