Nichola Corner

Since the murder of her youngest sister Lyra McKee in 2019 at the hands of dissident republicans, Nichola Corner has sought to continue to share Lyra’s vision for a peaceful and inclusive society in Northern Ireland where everyone feels valued.  From challenging politicians, speaking at secular and multi-denominational religious-based events, to taking part in a range of International, European and local documentaries, Nichola has sought to influence others to share in the collective social responsibility of working towards making Northern Ireland a place where mothers are no longer forced to bury their children as a result of conflict-related violence. As a Master of Education and an Accredited Speaker with over 20 years’ experience, who shares Lyra’s passion for peace and inclusivity, Nichola aims to give her sister her voice back.
