Julie Davidson

Julie has been involved in community work in various capacities for many years and is currently
employed with the ‘Action for Community Transformation Initiative’ on Shankill Road, Belfast, as the Women’s Program Coordinator.

Julie is passionate about working with women from her community who have been affected by the violence of the Northern Irish conflict. She works to holistically support the development, health, and well-being of women in her community, focusing on issues such as mental health and trauma, embedding restorative practice, and storytelling. Trained as a Restorative Practitioner, Julie works closely alongside Alternatives Restorative Justice and is on the leading edge of peacebuilding in her community, working persistently to build the capacity of local women, providing opportunities for them to personally develop and gain confidence in playing a vital role of instilling restorative values in the community.
