Jonny Armstrong
Restorative Justice Practitioner
Jonny has worked in the field of restorative practice, conflict transformation, and social justice for over 10 years. Working at Northern Ireland Alternatives, he is a Project Manager of a restorative practice project ‘Striving Towards A Restorative Society’ (STARS) that trains and mentors a range of local stakeholders to embed restorative practices in non-justice settings, including schools, policing, housing, communities, faith-based organisations, and broader society.
Throughout his career, Jonny has spent his time developing and delivering workshops and training experiences focused on conflict transformation, restorative practice, mediative dialogue, and more. He is passionate about creating spaces for mutual understanding to occur so that when conflict arises, people will turn toward one another and not against one another. From working in Northern Ireland and Dallas, Texas, Jonny has led projects and experiential learning experiences for local and international groups of varying sizes, ages, and nationalities focused on helping people understand themselves and the world we live in, navigate conflict positively, and live better together.
