Boston University (&#8217;25), currently at BU&#8217;s Schmitt lab. <span>His primary research while at BU was forecasting Harmful Algae Blooms in the Charles River utilizing an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/deepeco.ucsd.edu\/nonlinear-dynamics-research\/edm\/#page-content\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/deepeco.ucsd.edu\/nonlinear-dynamics-research\/edm\/%23page-content&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1709219191414000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2CPo96xcfIGH1y8lb5gnxs\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span>Empirical Dynamic Modeling<\/span><\/a><span> approach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hannah Connell<\/strong>, B.A. Boston University (&#8217;25). <span>Her research usesd3D photogrammetry to analyze fine-scale structural complexity and coral recovery of Caribbean coral reefs. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Eva Romero<\/strong>, B.A. Boston University (&#8217;25). Eva majored in both Marine Science and Computer Science at BU. Her thesis research tackled new directions in coral photomosaic data analysis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charlotte Vogel<\/strong>, B.A. Boston University (&#8217;25). Charlotte worked analyzing coral data using CoralNet and\u00a0wrote an undergraduate honors thesis focused synthesizing a\u00a0to better understand the long term impacts of coral restoration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nina Zhao<\/strong>, B.A. and M.S. Boston University (&#8217;24). <span>Nina served assisted the lab with coordination and\u00a0 researched saltmarsh sparrow nesting success at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Zo<span>\u00eb<\/span> Ert<span>\u00fc<\/span>rk<\/strong>, B.A. Boston University (&#8217;24).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gabriel Calistro, <\/strong>B.A. Boston University (&#8217;23), now a research assistant in the Micheli Lab at <span class=\"break-words tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">Stanford University&#8217;s Hopkins Marine Station. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ian Kwit, <\/strong>B.A. Boston University (&#8217;23).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gabriel Calistro<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>B.A. Boston University (&#8217;23). <span>Gabe established a pipeline to process photomosaics at a large scale using CoralNet, a machine learning point annotation software. Over a half-million points have been processed and analyzed from Laughing Bird Caye National Park.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Russell Laman, <\/strong>B.A. Boston University (&#8217;22), award-winning wildlife photographer and filmmaker published with BBC Earth and NatGeo.
