Yawei Huang

Yawei Huang headshot Yawei Huang is a doctoral candidate in Applied Human Development at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. She holds an Ed.M. in Prevention Science and Practice: Childhood Counseling from Harvard University. Her current research focuses on adolescent development in classroom and school contexts, especially how academic stress, academic socialization, and social support shape students’ academic achievement and mental health.

More broadly, she is interested in identifying the processes and contextual factors that promote positive youth development and support adolescents’ well-being and success. She has a dog and both of them love laughing, eating, walking, and sleeping.
