She is passionate about educational equity and the experiences of students of color in classrooms. Outside of the lab, Maya has volunteered with 826 Boston, and worked as a student intern at Fenway High School. In the future, she plans on teaching high school science and obtaining a masters degree in teaching. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Maya is originally from Sleepy Hollow, New York.
