She is passionate about pursuing criminal justice law with the hope of influencing a chain reaction within the justice system and truncating the effects of generational incarceration. Outside of her work with Dr. Medina, she serves as the President of Boston University\u2019s Deaf Studies Club and the President of CAS Dean\u2019s Hosts which is responsible for planning and hosting the annual Admitted Terrier Days for admitted students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Her research interests include the effects that incarceration and homelessness have on family relationships and community ties, and how these effects are stratified by race and ethnicity. She is interested in pursuing a JD and a PhD in sociology and criminal justice.
