Gautami Kapila

Chartered Career Counsellor

Her journey in education and mental health began with a simple belief: “Every child deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.” With a foundation in Clinical Psychology and Special Education, she stepped into this field over a decade ago, guided by curiosity, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young lives. Over the years, she has had the privilege of wearing many hats, each one shaping who she is today. As a Student Counselor, she learned how powerful listening can be. As a Special Educator, she discovered the beauty of neurodivergence. As a Life Skills Facilitator, she worked with students to build confidence, resilience, and empathy—qualities that help shape not just learners, but emotionally intelligent individuals. Her path then led her to the classroom as an IBDP Psychology Educator, where she found immense joy in helping students think critically, question deeply, and understand human behaviour through a scientific lens. Today, as a University Guidance Counsellor, she walks alongside students at one of the most defining stages of their lives. Supporting them as they explore opportunities, discover their strengths, and make informed decisions about their future is one of the most fulfilling parts of her work. Across every role, one thing has remained constant: her commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces where every student feels truly seen—not just for their achievements, but for who they are as individuals. She is always eager to connect with fellow educators, psychologists, and counselors to share ideas and collaborate on initiatives that promote student well-being and growth.

She works in Gurgaon.
