Alister D’Monte, Ed.M.

Alister D’Monte serves as a Pre-Doctoral Research Affiliate at the Wheelock Center for Future Readiness (WCFR), contributing to the Center’s work at the intersection of career development, adolescent psychology, and workforce readiness. He holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), where he developed an interdisciplinary foundation in human development, and applied career interventions for youth, particularly those from historically underserved communities.
At WCFR, Alister supports research and project development focused on large-scale quantitative analyses, including OECD PISA studies, and helps translate evidence into practical tools for schools, policymakers, and community partners. His interests in upward mobility, equity in workforce development, and positive youth development align closely with the Center’s mission to design and scale systems that expand economic opportunity for young people.
Alister brings a global perspective to the WCFR team. Prior to HGSE, he founded a social enterprise in India that supported more than 2,200 adolescents in exploring purpose and career pathways through mentorships with 550+ industry professionals. This experience informs WCFR’s growing international collaborations and its efforts to understand how future readiness frameworks translate across diverse cultural and economic contexts.
Across WCFR initiatives, Alister contributes to literature reviews, qualitative coding, project design and analysis, and the development of tools that integrate career development, SEL, and evidence-based planning practices. His work strengthens the Center’s capacity to support high-need youth, evaluate implementation processes, and advance research that links career readiness to long-term social mobility.
Outside WCFR, Alister enjoys reviewing films, singing in the choir, creating digital illustrations, and learning German. He can often be found searching for the best coffee and cakes in Boston and cheering on the Red Sox and Celtics!
