Recommendations

The Working Group developed practice recommendations through multiple steps and in dialogue with our partners from around the globe. These recommendations address all three areas of global health work: research, teaching and practice. They are a call for action to work towards fairer partnerships in global health.

Co-creation of the research agenda
• Stakeholder involvement
Equitable partnerships
• Clarification of responsibilities
• Mutual learning
Capacity Building
• Data, analysis and network sharing
Collaboration in dissemination
• Merit and profit pooling

For each of the four areas of our global health work – agenda setting, leadership, implementation, dissemination – our working group has developed a step-by-step guide or check-list to facilitate the implementation of best practice. You can review the documents by clicking the hyperlinks above.

In addition, our working group also developed a DGH specific section (highlighted in green) in the SPH’s syllabus reflection tool.

We gratefully acknowledge the contributions of all the participants who offered their reflections, suggestions, and feedback. For more information on how we engaged our partners please see here.

The goal of the Working Group is to finalize the recommendations over the coming months and develop tools to implement those within the Department of Global Health.
