She teaches in both the English Department and Writing Program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her dissertation explores contemporary U.S. and Irish narratives of healing, integrating trauma theory, gender theory and queer theory to understand the impact of the PTSD diagnosis (formalized in 1980) on how we respond to trauma.
