J. Blackwood

J. Blackwood studies 19th century Gothic and 20th century Caribbean Literature. Her interests include gothic children’s literature, monstrosity, and body-horror in film and television.

She is a New England Research Consortium Fellow 2020-2021. She is working on an archival research proposal titled, “Hunting Haitian Devils: Transhistorical Representation of Caribbean Persons as the Demonic.”
