She recieved her B.S. in chemistry with a focus in biochemistry from the University of Arkansas.\u00a0<\/span><span data-markjs=\"true\" class=\"mark2778fdhx4\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Hania<\/span><span>\u00a0was part of the 2023 REU at Boston Univeristy, working in the Elliott lab on the characterization of some of the 13 putative ferredoxins found in the methanogenic archaea\u00a0<\/span><i>Methanosarcina acetivorans<\/i><span>. Her current focus is studying the redox chemistry of two of the ferredoxins found in the acetogen\u00a0<\/span><i>Eubacterium limosum<\/i><span>\u00a0and other such organisms.
